Donna & Robert’s Romantic Wedding at Woodside Club
Donna and Robert’s wedding weekend began with the sweetest evening at Hilltop Kitchen + Bar, surrounded by all of the people they love most. Their rehearsal dinner was candlelit and intimate, with a warm atmosphere that made everyone feel right at home. It was one of those nights that was less about a formal event and more about simply being together — talking, laughing, and enjoying the excitement of knowing the wedding was only one sleep away.
The next day, everything felt a little more grand.
Donna and Robert were married at Woodside Club in Syosset, a beautiful venue set along a golf course that felt effortlessly classic and elegant. From the setting to the florals to Donna’s romantic bridal gown, every detail came together in a way that felt incredibly timeless.
Donna’s dress immediately gave me Bridgerton vibes. It was romantic, feminine, and so perfectly suited to the setting. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful pink dresses, adding the prettiest touch of color to the bridal party.
While Donna spent the morning getting ready with her sisters and family, Robert’s morning was filled with a completely different kind of energy. There was football, plenty of laughs, and so much excitement as he got ready with his groomsmen. The friendship between the guys was so genuine, and it was obvious how much history they all shared. It felt like a true brotherhood.
Donna’s morning was filled with those quieter family moments, too. She spent time with her sisters and surrounded by her many nieces, making the morning feel especially full of family. One of the sweetest moments was her first look with her dad, which gave them a little moment together before the day really began.
Then it was time for Donna and Robert to see each other.
Their first look was followed by private vows, giving them a chance to slow down and take in the fact that they were actually getting married. With the rest of the day still ahead of them, it was such a meaningful little pocket of time that belonged entirely to the two of them.
Their ceremony entrance was nothing short of dramatic.
Woodside Club has this beautiful long pool that Donna had to walk around on her way to the ceremony, and her aisle was lined with flowers. Watching her make that long walk toward Robert felt incredibly cinematic. It was the kind of entrance that made everyone stop and take it all in.
And then they were married.
Their newlywed dip was made even better with a confetti popper going off behind them, setting the tone for the celebration that followed.
Because if there is one thing Donna and Robert know how to do, it is throw a party.
Their reception felt like a full-on rave. The dance floor was packed, the energy was nonstop, and everyone was completely in it. But even with all of that happening around them, Donna and Robert made a point to slow down and spend time with every single guest who came to celebrate them.
They didn't rush through their reception. They talked, laughed, hugged, danced, and genuinely enjoyed being surrounded by the people they love. And after spending the evening with their families and friends at their candlelit rehearsal dinner the night before, it felt like the perfect continuation of the weekend.
From a quiet dinner surrounded by candlelight, to football and getting-ready laughs, emotional first looks, private vows, a flower-filled ceremony, and a dance floor that turned into a rave, Donna and Robert's wedding weekend was filled with so much personality and so much love.
It was elegant, joyful, and completely theirs — and I'm so grateful I got to be there to document all of it.
The morning of the wedding, Hope got ready at an beautiful house overlooking the marsh and water. The space felt peaceful and bright, filled with the energy of her nieces and nephews running around — the people she adores most. Thomas got ready nearby at The Harbor Front Inn, where he and his best friends looked out over the golf course and shared quiet moments before the day began.
Their first look took place on the balcony, and it couldn’t have been more magical. The wind off the water, the soft light, and the calm excitement between them created such a sweet and genuine moment. They shared a quiet hello before practicing their first dance — just the two of them, completely in their own world.
Their ceremony felt deeply personal, with their dog walking down the aisle to join them. Surrounded by whimsical florals and a relaxed, coastal energy, the atmosphere was pure happiness. Hope and Thomas were fully present throughout the day — soaking in every laugh, tear, and hug.
As the sun set over the vineyards, guests gathered for an intimate dinner reception filled with stunning design details, incredible speeches, and the best kind of energy. A live band carried the night, and everyone danced beneath the string lights and stars.
It was one of those weddings that felt effortless and true — the kind that reminds you how beautiful it is when people celebrate love in their own authentic way.
